The High Tower Armory 90/22 is a compact, maneuverable stock kit for the Ruger 10/22 which utilizes a bullpup design for superior balance and ergonomics. This durable, glass reinforced polymer stock reduces the overall length of most 10/22s to 26.5" by moving the rifle's action rearward and linking it to a forward trigger. The 90/22's trigger linkage is made of hardened steel in a nitride finish, ensuring trigger pulls are consistent, with minimal flex. To help hold zero, the 90/22's hardcoat anodized, aluminum Picatinny rail doesn't require removing optics for disassembly and the CNC machined aluminum bedding block provides a robust anchor point for mounting the 10/22's receiver with the standard takedown screw.

Designed to be truly ambidextrous, the 90/22 features a nitride treated, steel charging handle that can cycle the 10/22's action from forward positions on both left and right, a noteworthy improvement over the traditional configuration. The included shell deflector, which directs ejected casings downward, can be attached with a single bolt, making for safe and comfortable left-handed shooting. Furthermore, the 90/22's safety selector can be quickly engaged with the trigger finger from either side to block the stock's linkage from being pulled. To render the fire control components of the 10/22 safe, the factory push-button safety is still accessible via a safety extension toward the back of the stock.

Also included with the 90/22 is our extended magazine release and automatic bolt release combo, which replaces the OEM equivalent components for much faster manipulation of the rifle's controls. A pair of barrel bushings specifically for 18.5" Ruger tapered barrels comes standard but .920" bull barrels at least 18.0" long are compatible as well. This kit comes complete with a removable barrel shroud, two side mounted Picatinny rails, and a detachable ammunition storage box which can be used to hold spare rounds in the field. The 90/22 accepts factory 10 round rotary magazines as well as most aftermarket high capacity magazines that do not exceed the width of the standard magwell (e.g. HTA's RM-25, Ruger's BX-25 / BX-15, Champion, Eagle, Shooter's Ridge, Ramline, etc.) If you intend to use the factory 10 round rotary magazines, check out our HTA 10/22 Magazine Coupler which links two rotary magazines end-to-end to facilitate insertion and removal, especially when paired with the 90/22. Made in the USA. *Ruger 10/22 not included.

IMPORTANT: The HTA 90/22 requires a minimum barrel length of 18.0" to achieve the 26" overall rifle length required by federal law in the US. Most 10/22 barrels are 18.5" in length, however, some 10/22 barrel variants and aftermarket barrels may be shorter than 18" which make them illegal to install without the proper. You can check your barrel length by removing the barrel from the 10/22 receiver and measuring it from muzzle to breech.

Some states or local jurisdictions may have further regulations governing this product when assembled on a 10/22 (CT, D.C., DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, WA, etc.) This stock will add what is considered a "pistol grip" by some states, as well as shorten the overall length below some states' minimum requirement which may be longer than 26" (WA). Nice bull pup but some sacrifices have to be made

This is a well thought out kit that uses high grade components. That being said..once you wrap your 10/22 in this you can't clean the action without complete disassembly..which is about 14 screws and nuts,and they are all different lengths.Not very convenient,especially when the teeny tiny nuts fall out. Needs to be addressed. Also..the trigger pull is gritty if you leave the protective black plastic condom on the kits extension tang. Take it off and the trigger pull is smoother..but still vague, although the reset isn't too bad. The ammo storage thingy is pretty much useless in my opinion..I left it off and can grab the rifle nicely where the storage container use to be. They should just eliminate the container and put a grab handle there. All in all, I like the product,but keep upgrading it,please.

Worth the wait!

After following a thread over at bullpup forum where I discovered hta, I waited just over a year to get my order info. I placed it on Friday afternoon and had my stock by Monday morning. Andy and the rest of the crew at hta were awesome through out the manufacturing process and went above and beyond to answer any question anyone had via email or on bullpupforum.com. Enough about them though, the reason we're here is because of the hta 90/22. It just flat out rocks. Took me less than an hour from start to finish and that was taking my time with it. Fit and finish is awesome. It doesn't feel like some of the other cheap stocks used to throw your 22 in. You can tell they put forth the extra effort to ensure a high quality product.

OD HTA 90/22 = Amazing

I purchased this stock March 2014. Everything about this stock is well-thought out, solidly built, and quality throughout. Fit and finish is excellent. I currently have a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot on it and it feels great to shoot, and is also quite the head turner at the range. If you want a bullpup kit for your 10/22, look no further! Note: HTA is an amazing company. They ship fast, are very active on the forums, and were very responsive to my many emails (with loads of questions). If anybody deserves your business, it's HTA!

Impressed

I received the OD Green 90/22 as a gift from my bro for Xmas (pre built). I hadn't seen one in person but had seen them online before. The quality was far above what I expected. It's a solid piece with no rattle to any of the internal components. It's comfortable and is pretty close to the real feel of a PS90 in your hand, both size and weight wise. I threw a c-more tactical railway red dot on it and took it to the range today (1/1/15), and again was impressed. The trigger is a lot crisper than I thought it would be with less pre travel than I thought it would have. The reset is fairly short as well which surprised me. After zeroing it in a few inches low at 10yds, I moved out to 25yds. After a little more fine tuning It held great groups and was a blast to shoot. Anyone looking for a fun, accurate, well built range toy should definitely consider this kit.

Outstanding Value!

Very happy. Great build quality. Taking my time I spent probably 45 minutes total. The next one will probably only take 10 minutes. The quality of the parts is very good. The OD Green finish looks and feels great. The glossy instruction manual was useful. The online videos were a huge help. This was my first purchase from HTA and I was very pleased with the prompt shipping and good packing. Highly recommended.
